Who we are
Practical work on your roof and in your loft
Top Home Improvements carries out solar and battery installations, loft spray foam removal and loft insulation. All three deal with the same part of the home, and the same questions come up in each: what’s the roof like, what’s there now, and what does it actually need?
That’s why we assess first. It also means we’ll sometimes tell you that you don’t need us, or that you should speak to someone else before you go any further.

How the work is organised
What you should expect to be told
Before you sign, you’re entitled to clear answers on four things. Ask any firm about them, including us.
Surveying
A survey visit tells us enough to design and price the job. It isn’t the same as an independent surveyor’s report, and we’ll say which you’re getting. For spray foam in particular, the decision on whether to remove it belongs to a specialist surveyor, not to us.
Subcontractor supervision
Your contract is with Top Home Improvements Ltd, which stays responsible for the work whoever carries it out. You’ll be told in advance if a subcontractor is attending, who they work for, and who checks their work.
Workmanship cover
A manufacturer’s product warranty covers the product. Workmanship cover is about how it was fitted. They’re separate, with different providers and conditions, so we’ll always show them separately, and show any insurance-backed cover separately again.
Aftercare
When the work is finished, you should know who to contact, how quickly they’ll reply and how a concern is handled. If something isn’t right, please tell us.
