Accessibility statement
Our target for this website, what’s been checked, and how to ask for something in another format.
Our target
We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, so that as many people as possible can use it, including with a keyboard, a screen reader or at high zoom.
What we’ve designed for
- Pages that reflow at phone width, with no sideways scrolling
- A visible keyboard focus, and a “skip to main content” link
- Labelled form fields, with errors explained in text and linked to the field
- Forms that accept “not sure”, and optional uploads that never block you
- No CAPTCHA puzzle
- Contact buttons on phones that step aside when you’re filling in a form
- Reduced motion when your device asks for it
What’s been checked, and what hasn’t
| Check | Status |
|---|---|
| Automated browser checks at phone width: overflow, headings, image alt text, tap target sizes | Done during development, November 2026 |
| Keyboard use of forms and the cookie control | Done during development, by script |
| Manual testing with screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack) | Not yet done |
| Independent WCAG 2.2 AA audit | Not yet done |
| Overall conformance with WCAG 2.2 AA | Not yet assessed |
Known limits
- Some form features, such as photo previews, need JavaScript. Without it, the forms and all page content still work
- The video at the top of the home page plays automatically on larger screens, without sound, and has no pause control. It doesn’t play on phones, or if your device asks for reduced motion
Another format, or another route
If you’d like anything on this site in another format, such as large print or read out over the phone, or if you can’t use our forms, please call 0800 772 3430 or use the contact form, or email info@top-home-improvements.co.uk, and we’ll help. We aim to reply within two working days. We’ll make reasonable adjustments for a survey visit too. Please tell us what you need.
